Diver's Notes

Saturday July 22. I did my first check out dive of four. Hopefully all will go we'll and I will get my certification.

Our first dive is a wreck called the " Horace Taber". The Taber is a small wreck, and its split open on the bottom. It doesn't look like much mor then a bunch of ribs. There is the boiler which is easily seen, and a lot of Zebra mussels. The only other local life I have seen is a few small Bass. For all I know there was more. I was just to busy looking around, while trying not to screw up. I probably just didn't notice them all around me.

Visibility wasn't the greatest. Likely because of the weather, compounded by us "newbies" slamming into the bottom.

I had a few problems with my buoyancy; I think I'll try dropping a few pounds for tomorrow.

I had Rebecca for my buddy, as I did for most of my training.
No worries there.
