Diver's Notes

Attempt # 2 at sighting the school of Scalloped Hammerheads. Note* to ensure we saw the Hammerheads, I told Steven and Isaak I would buy them a case of beer, if we saw them. There were massive swells at the surface, approximately 6 ft. Upon breaking the surface, we had to descend immediately. Once everyone got together at the reef, we made our way "into the blue". One of the female divers started to panic, and Isaak had to take her back. So that left about 5 divers in total, including Colin and Janine (Diver operators of Koro Sun), an Irish bloke, the husband of the girl who freaked out, and myself. After about 10 minutes of "in the blue", I spotted a dark shadow of a Hammerhead about 10 meters below me. Right after I spotted that one, Janine banged on her tank, and pointed to Hammers. After chasing them for about 1 minute, I saw the entire school of Scalloped Hammerheads. Colin estimates there are roughly 200 of them. After chasing the Hammers at a deep depth, I noticed that I had about 10 bars left ha. I signaled to Janine I was almost out of air. Luckily, so did the Irish Bloke. We both ascended and did our safety stop. Steven (Captain) picked us up with the boat.
