NAVIGATION We discussed what we were going to do on land then went in the water and measured fin kicks and timed it. 32kicks = 30m 65-75sec =30m We then did navigation of a 30m square chris did his first and ended up going across all the reeds and got a little lost (He did wel considering he was stitched up by Darren! lol I got round easy and back to the platform.

SEARCH AND RECOVERY We discussed what we were going to be doing and practiced the knots for raising the lost item.(Small bottle). We then went into the water and worked as a team, I used the compass and did 5m south 3m west 10m north 3m west 10m south we repeated this pattern until we came across the tank. We dragged it back to the platform where chriss did the knots and i inflated the lift bag. We also used some string and swam round in a small circle gradually getting bigger till I came across the lost small item.

DEEP Descended down to 20m and waited for John and Vicky to join Duncan and I After 5mins of waiting they joined us. We went across to the bath where we did our maths tasks and baby for our our deep. we calculated our expected dive times @ depth before diving. We also looked at the effects of pressure on a coke bottle @ 22m We went off and looked around the boiler to the east. Then across some interesting rock formations. End.

PEAK PERFORMANCE BUOYANCY Went inside a small wreck and cotrolled my buoyancy did evasion maneuver. Swam thru tunnels without touching top or bottom. Steadied buoyancy without touching bottom. held buoyancy still for 2 mins. Piece of cake.

Duncan and i went and used the rest of our tanks we swam across to all the wrecks and old cars looking at the naked manican. We touched its boobs inappropriately! (FOR GOOD LUCK) Obviously ;) Very silty bottom beware!

DRY-SUIT. Learned how to properly look after my dry-suit ... Zip care, storage, seal preservation. We Kitted up and entered the water. Removed dry-suit hose and reattached. Trimmed my weight and made myself more streamlined (A little). Did dry-suit evasion maneuver filled dry-suit tucked legges up and rolled over so dump valve was highest point. Found this very informative.
