Diver's Notes

This was a night dive at LBTS from Datura Ave. Entry was challenging with 2-4 foot surf. We surface swam out to the second reef, dropped down, and established the current was going north. There was a lot of surge which kept us moving around during the dive and made navigation a challenge. We headed south along the second reef, then headed out east for about 10 minutes to see if we could hit the third reef line/drop off, but no luck. Decided to turn back to conserve air and headed west-northwest back to the second reef, across the first reef and across the sand to where we could stand up. This dive wasn't great for sightseeing (except for the octopus and a couple basket corals) but was fun navigating.
