Diver's Notes

Underwater Naturalist Adventure Dive #1
Completed the Knowledge Review on 17Aug03 to get credit for the adventure dive.

We identified Perch, Catfish, and Blue Gill fish. We identified Bottlebrush plants and clams.

We cracked an egg at depth to watch what happens to the yolk. It remained in tact until a fish came up and tried to take a bite out of it. The yolk "exploded" leaving a yellow cloud in the area.

Rick Vasquez was a junior diver in our class. He lost Shiela's knife near the platform we were training at. We tried to find it, but the effort was hindered when a few of the students stirred up the bottom.
