The first dive of my Advanced Open Water Certification.Practiced and passed some Peak performance buoyancy skills before continuing on a recreational dive seeing some huge Fan Coral and the biggest Lobsters I've ever seen as well as my first ever Seahorse which was amazing.Also saw loads of small spotted Moray Eels,a Scorpion Fish,a huge Crab and a Lizard Fish.Great dive.

First dive in St Lucia which was a pre requisite for my training tomorrow.Dive site consisted of a large wall that formed the below surface part of the great Piton Mountains which was cool.Had some issues with a foggy mask.Saw several Trumpet fish and a very small puffer fish as well as some interesting Fan Coral.Visibility became pretty low during safety stop and ascending.

Second training dive for part of my Advanced Open Water Certification.This dive was the Deep dive descending down to 30 metres with a colour card and an egg to demonstrate how light and pressure is affected at depth which was interesting.Multi levelled the remainder of the dive adjacent to a large coral wall with the dive ending in a drift dive.Saw a Lionfish.

Third dive of my Advanced Open Water certification which was Navigation Skills involving compass reading & counting distance using kick cycles.Great drift dive through huge Fan Coral and saw my Sharp Tailed Eel which was about 2.5 metres in length which was impressive. Also saw 2 huge Lobsters,Barracudas and an enormous crab.Best topography I've dived over with sand,rock,reef and small kelp area.

First ever wreck dive as part of my Advanced Open Water certification. Dived the Lesleen M, descending onto the deck before circumnavigating the ship and dropping down into the cargo hold.Saw a Stone Fish,Moray Eel and a Puffer Fish.Amazing dive.

Nice dive seeing a Lobster,large Eel,Sea Horses,Sea Cucumbers,Stonefish,Puffer fish and a tiny Cow Fish.Lots of Fan Coral.

First dive as an Advanced Open Water certified diver!!! Entered in a shallow 3 metre area before swimming out across sand and seagrass onto a reef wall with a huge drop.Saw a small spotted Moray Eel and various local Wrasse. Vis wasn't exceptional today at about 10 metres.

Dived along a reef wall where i saw a Spotted Moray Eel,Flounder and large Stonefish.Swam through an archway formed of coral which gives the site its name.Also encountered for the first time a cold thermocline where a cold water surge intermingles with warmer water and creates a shimmering effect.Also experienced two strong cross-current surges.

Varying degrees of current throughout dive across sand,cortland sea grass topography's.Saw a Flounder,Moray Eel,Cow Fish,large Puffer fish,Lizard fish and Electric Blue Anemone.
2014-12-29 - Piton Wall, Soufriere, Saint Lucia
18m - 54 min - Dived with Scuba Steve's Diving Ltd.
Final dive of my holiday in St Lucia which was a drift dive along the base of the Piton mountains.The scene was amazing.Saw 3 small Spotted Moray Eels,2 Large Flounders, a large Lobster,2 Large Lionfish,a Green Moray Eel and an unusual electric Blue Trumpet fish which was a first.Also saw a Hermit Crab in a piece of cone shell.
