Diver's Notes

Actual dive site is Hardy Reef, the nearest cluster of individuals reefs to the Whitsundays and is located about 75km north-east of Shute Harbour.

Saw HUGE 3m Blue Gropers, bigger than I have ever seen.

Went out by boat to FantaSea floating pontoon on Hardy Reef (see photo). The boat ride out was about 1.5hr and pretty easy and comfortable. The pontoon was well serviced and made diving very easy, straight into deep water from a platform under the pontoon. Lots of tourists snorkelling but they were kept away from us divers. Saw tourist submersible drive past! Tom did his first scuba experience here.
