Diver's Notes

Only myself and Eric on this one as I missed the first 9am dive due to a miscommunication Just a few hundred metres off to the right of the dive shop and we were there. Once we dropped in we were in a medium to fast running current that made fora pretty exciting drift dive. Typical reef sea life and corals along the way as with lots of "crown of thorn" star fish.

After about 40min the pace picks up a little more as the reef sweeps around to the left and eventually out of the current at around 12m. Here the wall is more steep but flattens as it shallows out further. As we continue swimming it becomes more sandy and shallower. We are obviously heading towards shore. As it turned out we were. Directly in front of the dive shop!

The web info on this site understates it. Though I don't think it would have been as much fun with the strong current.
