Diver's Notes

Another site of to the NW of the resort. The seas had dropped considerably from the day before allowing us to hit this site. Heavy rain fell just as we entered but didn't effect our dive.

Upon entry we were faced with some unexpected medium opposing current to start with before reach the reef. Both our new Russian guest divers struggled with buoyancy as soon as they hit the water. This on top of the current had then hanging near the surface and within a few minutes took themselves back to the boat. Surprisingly Eric showed little concern and virtually continued as if they never came along. When I signalled him to find out what's the situation, he indicated that had been picked up by the boat.

I would have made us all go back up and check they were in fact ok. There was no possibly way he could have known exactly what their issues were? Fortunately later back on the boat all was well and they were planning to do a buoyancy check dive later in front of the resort.

This site had your typical soft and hard coral formations and sea life like Morish Idols, Speckled Sand Perches, clowns, triggers etc. But we did also come across a good size ray with an exceptionally long tail that swam right across in front of us. Plus we saw one of my favourites, the Dogface Puffer.
