2018-09-09 - Saras Smile (Belmar), Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles

18.3m - 37 min

Our first dive since 2002. Lovely conditions, really helpful dive outfit. Flavia very helpful, walked us through all the dive sites around Bonaire. Gave us a briefing on the reserve as the whole of Bonaire is a reserve. This counted as our check in dive. We swam along the buoy line to the reef. A soft reef with plenty of sea life. Slight current Wilson took loads of photos. We swam South along the reef along the ridge.

2018-09-13 - Salt Pier, Bonaire, Netherlands Antilles

12m - 47 min - Dived with Buddy Dive

Can only dive at this site if the boat is not docked. Easy entry, difficult exit due to wave action. Entered South Side of the pier on Flavia's recommendation. Swam along the surface for a short while then descended, almost immediately we spotted a turtle swimming along the sandy bed. Continued to 2nd structure then moved from South to North. When we reached the 2nd structure on the North side we returned along the same route until we reached the same start point, took a heading and headed in shore.
