Diver's Notes

Dumped gear on the hill near water and the police came over wondering what we were doing. They pointed us in the direction of of a wreck but we never came across it. We went down the concrete steps and into the sea.It was a different type of dive the kelp was like it was a man made forest. Very regimental. The rocks were very flat and covered sea bed about 85%, there were several small lobbies walking about. Thompa lost his goody bag just before we found a massive lobster...But it was berried. :( So we put it back in the rock where it was hiding. To thompas Dismay! but it was an interesting dive saw few fish but they always stay well clear. As thompa was catching a lobby he began to float upwards so i pulled hi down to the floor and reached over his right shoulder to pull on his dump valve on his BCD. As i pulled it a great gush of bubbles came out....Strange! Then Thompa starts to flap. WTF is he doing? Then i realise the big rush off bubbles was his reg coming out of his mouth and he was struggling to contend with holding the lobby and grabbing his reg. He did sort it out after about 15 sec... Gave him abit of a fright! Afterwards he said he had just had his first drowning experience! lol We caught 2 lobbies and i took them home for steve Downstars.
