Diver's Notes

First dive with the new Dive Rite first stage after the Apollo died. First dive with the GoPro as well. Neale's first dive after his open water. Six of us on the boat in total, including Blair and a young girl from the US.

Mothers day 2013. Yuki and Cookie stayed behind, we left the pier at 3.30pm just as it started raining.

My first dive on Torpedo Drift (so named because you drift towards Torpedo Reef), we had a really strong current - at least walking speed, probably faster. Forgot to take a photo of the exit point so we don't know how far we went, but it was definitely a long way.

Lots of Magpie Perch, a few little shark-shaped fish, but everything was going past so fast none of the fish photos really worked out. Light wasn't particularly great due to it being so late in the day, and the clouds had come over. The earlier dives had better light, but really strong winds (Up to 40km/h), whereas ours was calm.
