Diver's Notes

Discover Dive with Aloha Dive Center with my wife (now ex). We were staying at a Military Resort on Waikiki (Hale Koa). A Japanese girl had died on a local scuba charter a few days prior and the media was talking about it constantly. We decided to brave it. Neither of us had ever been diving before.

We dove in Koko Crater which is a Green Sea Turtle Preserve. We saw 30+ turtles, eels, and many colorful reef fish. It was a great experience. I wanted to get certified from that day forward.

Aloha Divers. One of our dive buddies ran out of air and the divemaster was fired on the spot. Pretty interesting trip back on the boat. I felt really bad for him but I saw the lady trying to get his attention and finally ascending on her own. She was like us and not certified.
