Diver's Notes

2nd dive on Sea Pup. Still dove with the bad insta buddy. The DM paid close attention to him on this dive and forced him to surface when she was ready to surface. I still had 2000 lbs of air but wasn't finding any lobster, so I started surfacing. Just as we got to the 15 ft mark, the DM pointed down and I saw 2 other divers. So I descended and kept hunting. They had a hawksbill swimming next to them which was cool. They kept finding lobster and I only found a short. There was a lot of rock, ledges, and holes, but no lobster! I did catch one additional lobster on this dive for a total of 2 between both dives. Prior to the dive I was experiencing problems with the hog reg. The black cap on top was coming off. I ended up diving without the cap. When I descended to continue my dive mid way through, I must have hit the high pressure hose on my pony and it started spewing air. One of the other divers saw it and came to me. I thought it was my Hog reg and calmly went to switch to my pony. I noticed it was my pony and I shut the tank down. Scuba Works put a new o-ring on the hose and had no idea what the cap was on the Hog. I took the reg to Stuart Scuba and we couldn't get the cap to come off.
