Diver's Notes

4th Window @ Breakers

After leaving the Juno Ledge area to get away from a storm, we ended up at Breakers. We were determined to catch something. Matt had his first shot at a LF and it took off before he could get it. Aric continued to amuse us with his Lobstering skills, or lack thereof. We finally found a good spot for LF and there was a lobster, but we were running close to 50 minutes and needed to end the dive. So we took a couple of shots at catching something and aborted so we could surface.

We had been able to see lightning from depth. So we knew there would be rain. We surfaced into a down pour. It was almost white out conditions. Aric was freaked out a little because the boat was nowhere in sight. I started laughing at him. I had my lifeline, but wanted to give the boat proper time to find us before I used it. Several minutes later the boat picked us up. Lightning was striking all around the boat. It was absolutely crazy. Later we found out a tornado was spawned in that storm cell. Pretty nuts!
