Diver's Notes

First dive off the silver prince. One engine failed so we did not get to Carmel. Fact it was pretty much glorified shore diving, and kind of pricy at that. Also they do not have a compressor.

New Bare dry suit worked fine. Air flow could have been better, I think my double layer was constricting air movement. Needs more testing. I might add 2 pounds too. Also not having boots to restrict air flow to the feet made me slightly floaty even with angle weights (when I did the class I crammed my feet into my old boots but the new feet are neoprene and there is no way they can fit). All and all not to bad though, safety stop at 15 was fine, easy control and could zip around the kelp forest and maintain depth perfectly. No leaks with neoprene neck seal. I was worried about that, but turned out to be no fuss at all.

Light: was flaky, cut in and out :(. Uttler annoying then quit entirely. not sure if a battery or flood issue or what. Had looked fine...

Mask, new Atomic Aquatic was great for viz but the skirt under the nose is a little thin and light. if a bubble would hit it I would get a little blast of water. Gonna shave next time see if that helps.

The dive it's self was a blast. while I messing with new gear and wrestling with change a harbor seal showed up to play. He stayed with me the whole dive pretty much. It wanted to play grab the fin and who can do the ost rolls... needless to say it won all the contests. Though i did manage to sneak up on him at one point and get his fin... then he was relentlessly stalking me after that :).
