Diver's Notes

Beach Hopper II: Beautiful day out. Saw Whales both heading out and returning to the bay. We got a little bit of a late start (folks showed up late :( )but jetted down to Carmel, we dove sort of between butterfly house and copper house. Butterfly Pinnacle? Vis was decent but a little misty (30-40 foot). Bit on the surgy side, 4-5 foot every 5-7 seconds. I hid in small cannon to not get knocked around and played with the new strobe.
This was also the first dry glove test. Nice war dry hands...! but the gloves are a bit too big, need a snugger fit. Though to be fair I did not have much trouble with the camera really.
We had a couple newish wet divers so we stayed relatively shallow but for a gear checkout that was fine with me.
Need to figure out the de-saturation deal with the D9. The numbers it flashes in plan mode after one dive make no sense (like six hour surface interval, wtf?).
Good first dive then we headed back in and our second
