Diver's Notes

Beach Hopper 2: Little surge, lot more water paticulates. Still pretty Nice roch land scape.
I hit the Beach Hopper 2 Friday in the calm before the storm. They are running a Friday charter all month ($60x2 dives). It's a smaller boat, more like the escapade (no fills), but they had a no nonsense crew and we were down to Carmel in nothing flat. We hit Ball buster pinnacle and Mikes Maze.

It was mostly a pretty technical group (mostly drysuit, tech divers BP, reals abound).

At both sites the Jelly fish armadas were flowing through, huge suckers too. Frankly on the second dive it got pretty intimidating they were literately trying to torpedo me repeatedly. A couple people got it in the face and were not happy campers.

Ball buster was incredable once we dropped down around 80 feet it really opened up and cold swell cleared all the much out of the water. We had 30+ vis easy. No to much fish life though which was odd.

Mikes Maze has the nice rock formations, and had more fish but was slightly surgy and we were not quit deep enough for the debris to clear up. maybe 15 foot vis but high particle count.

The swell was really picking up as we headed back, this weekend might get pretty blown out.
