2017-09-04 - Lobster No Lobster, exumas, Bahamas

9.3m - 46 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

Shallow reef with many coral heads to swim around. We swam to a sandy area and saw many jawfish and a couple conch. I saw a queen angel and some french angels. Not a whole lot of fish overall. We ended our dive early because we felt we saw everything of interest.

2017-09-04 - Madison Avenue, Exhumas, Bahamas

11.8m - 58 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

One large reef head with lots of holes in it and a couple swim throughs. We saw jawfish in the sandy area around the reef and a group of three triggers. There was a Nassau and a black groups and large school fish - chubs and schoolmaster snappers. I saw a cowery and a drumfish in one of the swim throughs. Before the dive we free dived for conch. I found one and Justin went to get it.

One big corral head with a Y-shaped swim-through. We saw a large lobster in one swim-through. I saw two Atlantic spadefish, jawfish, hermit crabs and a coral nursery. On the top of the reef there was a small trumpetfish and a small lizardfish.

2017-09-04 - Tunnel Rock, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

11.7m - 46 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was our first night dive and it was really cool! We saw a sea turtle, a sting ray, and arrow crab, a big lobster, a clam that was feeding on blood worms and then swam off, some large fish - mostly jacks. I really wish we wouldn't have waited so long to dive at night! We dived with a group of other first time night divers.

2017-09-05 - Hole In The Wall, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

28.9m - 36 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

There was a hold in the coral on a flat area. After swimming through it we came out to a large wall. We saw a sting ray and a lionfish. In the shallow area there was a cave with a couple large groups and a lot of really small silver fish.

2017-09-05 - Cut Through City, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

27.5m - 42 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This dive was really cool! A lot of channels from a shallower region out to a wall. The reef structure was really interesting. In the shallow region we saw several groupers, french angels, and queen angels. A barracuda was checking us out for awhile at the end.

2017-09-05 - Knuckelheads, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

10.5m - 43 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was a large reef structure with smaller coral heads in a sandy area. There was a swim through and several groupers. The best part of this dive was all the silversides! There was a river of them in a canyon and they enclosed me while swimming through them. Justin and I spent awhile playing with them.

2017-09-05 - Jake's Hole, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

9.4m - 54 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was my favorite dive of this trip so far! It was a flat area with a lot of really interestingly shaped coral heads and a deep hole in the middle of the area. There were three large black groupers right under the boat. We saw a queen trigger, a trunkfish, several flamingo tongues, and a couple lettuce sea slugs.

2017-09-05 - Jake's Hole, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

7.1m - 32 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

Awesome night dive! We saw a large channel crab near the hold. We saw an octopus, a chain moray, hermit crabs, and three lettuce sea slugs on one small piece of coral. We also used our lights to feed blood worms to coral. This was our first night dive on our own for navigation.

Another wall dive. We saw five very large rainbow parrot fish at about 90 feet just outside the wall. We spent most of out time in the shallower area at the top of the wall. We saw a bunch of garden eels in a sandy area.

2017-09-06 - The Austin Smith Wreck, The Exumas, Bahamas

16.5m - 37 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This is a wreck dive. It used to be intact but was split in half by hurricane Matthew. There were Atlantic spadefish, a bunch of reef sharks, lionfish, a huge black grouper, and a friendly small grouper that was allowing people to pet it.

2017-09-07 - Pillar Wall, exumas, Bahamas

33.6m - 50 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was a great dive. There was a shallow area and a wall. There was a lot to see on the wall so we ended up deeper than we planned before we knew it. We ended the wall part with a swim through before spending the rest of the dive in the shallow area. We saw sharks, a sea turtle, a spotted trunkfish, a school of blue chromas, and a lot of parrot fish and angels.

2017-09-07 - Blacktip Wall, The Exumas, Bahamas

26.9m - 42 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was the last dive of the trip because hurricane Irma is coming and we have to leave early, but it was probably the best one! There were a ton of great swim throughs. We had to turn around in one because there were several lionfish blocking the way. We saw some reef sharks, a trumpetfish, Atlantic spadefish, and all the normal ones. A great dive!
