2022-11-20 - Pacman Reef, Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas

6.4m - 49 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The first dive of this trip. The reef was only ok. We saw several jawfish, starfish, a couple yellow sting rays, a hermit crab in a conch shell, some pretty yellow sponges, and an interesting variegated sponge or tunicate.

2022-11-20 - The Blue Hole, Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas

30.3m - 40 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The was a great dive! In the blue hold we saw dozens of schooling sharks, a huge turtle, and some queen and gray angles. There was a cave we swam in, in which I saw a couple lobsters. At the end of the dive in the grassy area, we saw a leech headshield slug and a different smaller headshield slug with blue spots.

2022-11-20 - Lobster No Lobster, exumas, Bahamas

10.3m - 33 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The was a pretty, shallow reef. We saw a queen triggerfish and a reef shark. We ended the dive early because Justin was having trouble with his ears due to the shallow depth.

2022-11-20 - Lobster No Lobster, exumas, Bahamas

9.9m - 41 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The was the same site as a night dive. We saw a yellow sting ray, a cowfish, and several crabs in conch shells. I also saw some corals with the polyps out and feed them blood worms by shining the lights on them.

2022-11-21 - Barracuda Shoals, The Exumas, Bahamas

9.9m - 55 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was a nice reef dive with a lot of pretty sponges. We saw a lot of reef sharks and a lot of southern sting rays. We saw a barracuda, some jawfish, a yellow sting ray, and, at the very end, the largest Southern sting ray I've ever seen.

2022-11-21 - Hole In The Wall, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

29.1m - 44 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was a fun dive with a swim-through to get to the outside of the wall. We saw a shark, some groupers, a queen trigger, and fairy basselets that were completely purple - no yellow half (Blackcap basselets)

2022-11-21 - Tunnel Rock, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

12m - 41 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

Another dive with swim-throughs. We did this dive during the transition to night. We saw a lobster out on the reef, a spotted moray, and some arrow crabs.

2022-11-22 - Cut And Run, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

28m - 36 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

Another nice wall dive. There was some black coral on which I found an arrow crab and a couple small fire worms. There were a couple groupers towards the end of the dive as well as a spotted moray.

2022-11-22 - Split Coral Head, Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

17.5m - 57 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was the shark feeding dive. It was fun for the first 10-15mins but the sharks weren't really hungry and this dive went on forever. I was very cold, almost went into Deco, and almost ran out of air. We didn't get to look for shark teeth and we didn't get to explore the reef. Not a great dive.

2022-11-23 - Cobia Cage (Area 51), Eleuthera Island, Bahamas

26.2m - 44 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

My favorite dive of the trip so far! There was a giant cage hat had been historically used for farming cobia. We saw an Atlantic thorny oyster, a nudibranch (possibly a flabellina), several large blue parrotfish, and many many arrow crabs. My camera wouldn't zoom so I didn't get to take as many good pictures as I would have liked.

2022-11-23 - Flat Rock Reef, exumas, Bahamas

6.7m - 32 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The was a pretty reef dive. We saw a file clam and a golden moray. We cut the dive early because my camera started flooding. I put in on rice when we got back to the boat - hopefully it will be ok.

2022-11-23 - Washing Machine, exumas, Bahamas

11.8m - 33 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was a strong drift dive where the initial current can flip you around; it almost shot me back to the surface. The end of the drift dive was a really pretty reef with lots of colorful sponges. We saw a couple sting rays and some spade fish.

2022-11-23 - Smuggler's Plane, The Exumas, Bahamas

7.3m - 45 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

The was a great night dive! The dive itself was on a sunken crashed plane. We saw so many different things - a variety of crabs and snails, conches, and a cowerie. There were sleeping ocean triggerfish, file clams, and an octopus! Unfortunately, my camera still won't start so I couldn't take any pictures - I think it might be dead.

2022-11-24 - The Blue Hole, Nassau, New Providence, Bahamas

31m - 39 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

We dived the Blue Hole again this morning. We saw a lot of sharks again, as well as a lot of rays. We also saw a puffer fish that I don't think I've seen before. This highlight of the dive for me was three ramoras stacked on top of each other.

2022-11-24 - Periwinkle Reef, exumas, Bahamas

7.3m - 62 min - Dived with Blackbeard's Cruises

This was the healthiest reef I've seen in a long time. But we spent half the time hunting around in the sea grass. We saw several sea slugs - leech and black headshield slug & some eyespot costasillia. We also saw a pipefish, and shelled mollusk hopping around on its foot and a conch peeking out of its shell.
