1st dive in the middle east at the Al Aqah beach. Operator Al Boom Diving is very well organized. Had to take a two hour bus ride from Dubai to the dive site. Had to add a 4 lbs to my regular dive since the water is a bit more saltier. Also, was the first dive with the new BCD. Enjoyed it very much, the i3 system with the lever on the side is really convenient. Buddy was Anna from Australia. Fairly good buddy but tended to lag behind the group, so had to wait to stay close to her. Started the dive with a bankroll off the boat (after a 40 min ride to the dive site). Sandy bottom with soft and hard reef. Nice and large schools of fish and saw a couple of large cuttle fish for the first time. Also, a few stone fish and a large lion fish. Other species also seen were: clown fish, moray, sea cucumber

Really short boat ride from the diving center. Also, a very shallow dive, so doing it on Nitrox EANx32 was at the end a very good idea. My longest dive ever (60 min), good I did it on Nitrox. Since it was a shallower dive, the visibility improved and had the chance to see massive school of fish. Second dive with the BCD, absolutely fantastic. Saw small cuttlefish, stone fish and lion fish.
