1st Dry suit dive assessment, proper weighting, fin pivot and neutral buoyancy. Caught the current then travelling north for our drift dive. Saw thousands of brittle star fish carpeting the sea bed as we flew past them. Amazing.
Sea a bit choppy and the vis was more reduced since the earlier dive. Nice dive but i was a bit conscious of the air travelling down to my boots in the dry suit. Currently have strapped 1/2 kilo of weight to each boot, I might need to up that. Tired after second dive but it was well worth it.
Flat calm sea. Buoyancy spot on with my dry suit. Near the end of the dive Mick (my buddy) had some trouble with his BCD slowly filling with air, possibly a stuck valve. First time using my new Zoop dive computer.
Entry into a rock pool with a short underwater swim through a tunnel out into the open ocean. Loads of massive crab some of them the size of large dinner plates. Beautiful dive, crystal clear water.
2011-04-30 - Hook Head Blow Holes, Wexford Country, Ireland
11.3m - 46 min - Dived with Oceandivers
Parked in an open field at the side of the road, about a mile back from Hook Head, and suited up. Carried the gear then over two fields to the dive site. Entry into the sea via large flat limestone rocks. Fantastic vis. Loads of caverns with blow holes on the roof of the caverns. Kicking myself i didn't bring my camera. Excellent dive.

2011-08-06 - Bolivar Wreck, Kish Bank, Ireland
10.7m - 43 min - Dived with Michael Martin from Oceandivers
3rd dive of the Wreck Diving Course on the wreck of the Bolivar. Very calm seas but the vis was not so good at 3m. I led this dive on the wreck while being assessed by my Instructor. We dropped down on the shot line took our bearings and circumnavigated the exterior portion of the wreck finishing up on the top structure where i did a reel out as the rest of the group followed my lead. Nice dive but i consumed quite a bit of air. I put this down to it being my first time as the lead diver.
2011-08-21 - Guide Me Ii Wreck, Dalkey , Ireland
33m - 32 min - Dived with Michael Martin from Oceandivers
4th dive of the Wreck Divers Course to the wreck of the Guide Me II. It took us six minutes to descend onto the wreck with ten further minutes to navigate and explore around it then sixteen minutes for safety stops before surfacing. Wow what a nice small wreck.
