First Dive of 2003 and i got to test out my new equipment, BCD, Regs, weights etc. On the dive i used a bit more air than normal adjusting the new equipment and geting comfortable with it. All in all a relaxing dive.
Used less air on this dive. Getting to grips with better buoyancy control. Relaxing into my breating also which is contributing to less air consumption.
Sunny Morning and the visability is absolutely stunning, well for the basin that is! Came upon one of the small wrecks in the basin, cool.
Nice second dive in the basin. Becoming more and more comfortable with my gear and geting to grips with my buoyancy. Can't wait to try it out on my next sea dive.
2003-06-28 - Bolivar Wreck, Kish Bank, Ireland
12m - 45 min - Dived with Aoife Brown
First dive with Ocean Divers and my first wreck dive also. 30minute trip from Dun Laoghaire harbour to the wreck site of the Norwegian MV Bolivar which ran aground on the Kish Bank during a snow storm on 4 March 1947. The Buoy marking the wreck site was gone. Dropped anchor over the wreck and descended on the anchor line. Vis excellent for the east coast of Ireland, 6m approx. Lots of large crab and large pollock around the wreck. Start of dive no current, end of dive strong surge. Brill dive.
Nice relaxing dive in the basin. Vis pretty good, water temperature nice and warm.

Nice sunny day for a dive and a bit choppy on the surface.
Nice relaxing second dive today. We actually managed to find the two car wrecks. Cool!!
