Diver's Notes

First dive with Ocean Divers and my first wreck dive also. 30minute trip from Dun Laoghaire harbour to the wreck site of the Norwegian MV Bolivar which ran aground on the Kish Bank during a snow storm on 4 March 1947.
The Buoy marking the wreck site was gone. Dropped anchor over the wreck and descended on the anchor line. Vis excellent for the east coast of Ireland, 6m approx. Lots of large crab and large pollock around the wreck. Start of dive no current, end of dive strong surge. Brill dive.
