Diver's Notes

Large swell on the trip out to the dive site, lucky i had a small breakfast! Massive waves with deep troughs made the trip exciting. Once we got the boat round to the west side of the island it was almost flat calm.

The vis wasn't the best with 1m vis at 17m for the first half of the dive and about 2m vis at 13m for the last portion. Loads of star fish to be seen on the sea bed and not much else. Excellent drift dive.

Before surfacing we depolyed our SMB and were picked up by the boat at the agreed pick up point near the top end of the Island. Any further and we would have been back out in the massive swell and would have been carried by the current for miles back towards Dun Laoghaire.
