Diver's Notes

Initially jumped into the wrong spot, so within 5 minutes we were out again. We did spot a manta on the way up again.
The place is also nicknamed "the highway". Basically this was a drift dive with a very strong current.

This one knocked the wind out of me. Probably too much swimming to stay on course. I decided to just kick back and try to relax.
This place is pretty much flat with very little to see (I guess it's possible to encounter plenty pelagics, but not when we were there). Visibility was ok. We spotted a ginormous turtle though.

The bottom went deeper in steps, and with the drift this resulted in several down currents, so I had to strictly control my buoyancy to stay level.
At the end I was quite exhausted, and could no longer see the bottom (due to visibility more than depth). I think I almost had a panic attack, probably due to the exertion and lack of good visual references. Focusing on breathing helped me keep that under control, but it was just barely! Still not sure why that happened because as a drift it was quite an ok dive, and looking back I'd like to do that one again.
