Diver's Notes

Manta Alley, a popular dive site.
Visibility was poor, so as a results so were the photos.
The guide (Leo), was eager to show us mantas. The plan was to lie down in front of the cleaning station and watch the action, but nothing came, so Leo took us through the alley to the other side of the outcrop. We did spot some mantas but not many and not close. Others were more lucky as they moved into a small lane where more mantas were spotted. they got real close to them, but unfortunately we didn't. I did signal the guide to follow the other group into the small lane between the rock outcrops, but I think he didn't notice. He kept swimming around trying to find Mantas. This wasn't great, especially since there were some currents that basically exhausted us and blew us through our air.
After that dive we broke Leo's legs so he wouldn't swim around as much... Just kidding... But we did ask him to not swim around so much.

On the positive side, the dive did start off with a brilliant sighting: Baby F'ing Whale Jay!!! Or for those not in the inner circle, that refers to us spotting a Mola Mola, which isn't that common there.
I did get a poor shot for ID, but it was too far to get a nice shot of.
