Diver's Notes

This was Trevor's first scuba experience and we saw more of a variety of sealife than I've seen before. After Trevor performed his mask-clearing and reg-recovery skills, we started the dive and found an octopus. He was hiding, but a few tentacles came out. Then we swam around and found a small drum and cleaner shrimp, then a juvenile french angel, and a flounder. Jeremy picked up a sea urchin and let Trevor hold it. I showed Trevor a bristleworm and a pair of rays swimming in formation along the bottom. Trevor also got to play with an arrowhead crab and see a scorpionfish, batfish and a few juvenile barracuda. We all dove without wetsuits because we couldn't find one in Trevor's size. Trevor and Jeremy both got cold in the end. I thought it was nice.
