Diver's Notes

The water felt so good after the short walk from the parking lot to the spring run. We walked along the bank to the spring and Bob conducted a pre-dive brief. Trevor worked with the compass a little. I tried to go with him, but one kick of the fin and I broke a strap. I was able to salvage it so I could go on the dive, but it was the beginning of a less-than-stellar dive day. I led Trevor into the spring and passed a large plecostomus on the way. We spiraled down to 15m and noticed my computer was dead. Trevor cleared his mask along the way-not part of the training. We ascended and Bob showed me another cavern on the safety stop. I don't know how far it went back but I swam until there was no light before I turned around. On the surface interval, Trevor performed a few more skills to keep warm.
