Diver's Notes

We headed down the right side of Shelly Beach this time and saw a school of flute fish - I have previously seen singular flute fish or groups of 2 or 3 but this was a school of 8 - 10. Vis was much better this dive.

Came back along the left side again and it was now getting later in the day and we saw heaps of the Juvenile Dusky Whaler sharks... some just metres from the shore where parents and their little kids are splashing about (most likely blissfully unaware).

The Dusky Whaler can grow quite sizeable at 3.5mtrs so I wonder if mum and dad are hanging around off the back of the beach? These Juveniles would have been 1 - 1.5mtrs long...

A great day with a great group of people.
