Third dive on our Deep course and time to look at the effects of Nitrogen Narcosis - so 1st step descend ot 40mtrs, 2nd step Sam gives me a basic maths problem to solve on her slate... I got it right but I think it was obvious to everyone that we were not thinking clearly and our reaction times were diminished.
A bit of a look around and it was time to head up... Completing a deep stop at 19mtrs and around 8 mins at 5mtrs to simulate a 5min decompression stop + 3 minute safety stop. This also gave us time to give the pony bottles a test run.
I would like to check this reef out a little more- there are apparently drop offs, overhangs and caves at the shallower side of this one... Maybe start at the 40mtrs and work reasonably quickly up to the shallower side of things apparently around 32mtrs - finish with an ascent on SMB's for pickup...
