Diver's Notes

This was the second dive of my spearfishing adventure. Saw tons of hogfish but most were too small. When we finally spotted a legal one, I shot it but it wiggled itself free from spear since I hit it kind of low. Schwenke handed me his gun and I took my second shot which also missed. This time however, the spear went under a rock and scared the living daylights out of a lobster living under it.

At this point, the lobster and the hogfish both try to hide under the same rock. I kept an eye at the rock while Schwenke reloaded the guns and got his mesh bag out. After checking the hole, I pulled the lobster out and Schwenke pulled the hogfish out which was rather mortally wounded. This was the only fish and bug we caught on this trip but it was still fun.
