First site: Deep ledge
This was the first dive of the day. The seas were rough with 3-5 ft waves. Diane got seasick before our first splash.
Diane and I were a bit tired because we got to bed late and then had to drive to Jupiter. We had about two drinks each that evening but weren't hung over.
The first dive was uneventful. I got to try my new Mako ETR spear gun. My first shot on a hog fish I tried to ambush was a miss and I had some trouble reloading. I gave up reloading for a bit and tried again later and sucessfully got the gun reloaded. We hung around looking for fish and then started our ascent.
We did a deep stop for 2 minutes and then continued our ascent. I had trouble maintaing depth at the end of the dive because of being underweighted. I got in a little bit of the safety stop before finally breaking the surface.
I sucked a lot of air at the surface trying to stay with Diane and trying to keep her calm.
