Diver's Notes

First try of my new Apeks RK-3 HD fins. They perform very well. Not only it improved propulsion for the frog kick, but also made trim much better becasue of its weight. I was even able to drop 2 kg of my regular weight setup and was absolutely fine with 6 kg of lead.
Dived with Colm Towey. On the way back Colm experienced an issue with equalizing ears, so we decided to slowly make our way to the surface in mid water instead of following bottom path.
Once we reached 7 m depth, I attempted to deploy DSMB. Visibility was poor - about 2m at most, so in mid water it was impossible to have any visual reference. While I was preparing DSMB, I dropped down to 17 m. Tried to recover and come back to the safety stop depth, I overshooted and unintentionally surfaced - from 17 m to 0 it took 1 min 10 sec, which was too fast for my liking. And safety stop was missed. I had slight headache after that on the surface, which went away in about 20 minutes.
I had some doubts if I had enough weights with me, as I reduced it down to 6kg due to heavy fins. I decided to try the same setup again, to confirm my weight requirements.
