Diver's Notes

Quite tricky dive. Dived as a group of 3. Hugh and Phillip were my buddies. Before the dive we were planning to reach deeper parts of the site (in a region of 20m).
Dive started ok. Went down and when reached the bottom (approx 15m), I only could see Phillip, but Hugh was nowhere to see. It was quite dark, bad visibility. Tried to light torch all around, could not see him. Thumbed up to Phillip and we surfaced. Hugh reappeared on the surface 5 metres away. Boat was nearby and Willie offered to pull us to a better place. Three of us grabbed the rope on the starboard side and were pulled away approx 50m away from the rock. During the pull, I got my right dryglove flooded, as the ring was pressed against side of the boat. Later I discovered that the outer o-ring went off the grove too. I could reseal the glove and continue the dive.
Most of the dive was in 15-19m depth. Nice and calm at first, saw some huge lobsters.
When my air supply dropped to 70 bar and we were about to end the dive, we hit a strong current, which required us to hold on the rock to stay in place. At 8m depth Hugh deployed DSMB, I decided not to do so, as I tried to hold myself in place, DSMB would add extra task load. During safety stop I could not hold myself in place any longer and was blown by current aside and to the surface leaving Hugh and Philip to finish their stop. Surface was like a washing machine, surging. I surfaced just beside a rock. Boat came within a minute, but could not approach the rock, I was told to swim away, which I did. Returning to the boat was uneventful, Istvan helped me to take off the gear and get in.
Hugh and Philip surfaced just after I got into the boat.
