Diver's Notes

4th dive on Boxing day and we are within the GBR.
David decided to sit out the night dive, so just Fran and I. I took my gopro with light as well as the orcatorch on the wrist mount.
On descending the line, I remembered that I might not be weighed correctly as now i was in my wetsuit wheresa earlier I was just wearing a rashie and shorts.
But had no issue, so continued on. Bad choice.
Fran found a few Nudis, and some lion fish, and a small crab, whereas my torch found the trevally and reef sharks, although none of those came too close to us.
At about the half way point is when I started to notice that I kept floating up, as my tank was getting lighter.
I picked up some rocks and continued the dive, although I tried to let Fran know that I was at 100 bar and that we should head back to the boat.
Once on the line, I dropped the rocks and although my body floated up, i held the line and stayed at 5m. But then I was on the surface, the crew had loosened the rope as the boat was drifting towards the reef.
Finally finished our safety stop and headed back, lucky we did as Fran was supposed to be sorting out dinner. Not sure about the video on the Gopro, will look at it now.
