What a surreal experience. We entered till waist deep and descended with a shallow swim of approx 2m slowly descending in the direction of the canyon (more of a fissure) you can only enter and turn single file it is that narrow. What an experience, I must say that when it became very dark I had to focus on the slither of light from above and at one point I kicked Wilson’s DV out of his mouth, fortunately he is strong diver.
Overall it was not a comfortable dive for me. I was over weighted because there were not enough 1kg weights available and I donned the BC on the the way out in waist deep water and everything felt off. There was a school of rolling catfish and a huge pufferfish in the way out.
We had a shower at the Canyon centre swapped into dry clothes for the last leg of the trip a visit to Ali Baba restaurant for much needed sustenance. Great food, great company. Got back to the hotel just before 7:00 pm.
