Diver's Notes

Last night, strong winds made it feel like a storm was brewing. We woke up to an overcast day with choppy surface conditions. Both the air and water temperatures were 25°C. The dive plan was to determine the current's direction and then follow the wall. However, we ended up at Temple, where Jeanette
I spotted a giant moray eel resting in some coral off to the side. We also saw a blue-spotted ray foraging for food.

This dive was amazing. Despite the rough surface, there was little to no current underwater. Visibility was slightly reduced due to the storm, but it was still an incredible dive!

On the way out Jeanette spotted and showed me, what looked like a scrunchie on a rock. He took a photo and it was only when we got back home that we managed to identify it as a Hexabranchus Egg sack. The Eggs of the Spnaish Dancer.
