Diver's Notes

First unguided dive of the holiday. The topography here is different from Far Garden at Reef Oasis Blue Bay. There are sandy stretches with some coral outcrops, and the entrance and exit are tricky as they lie parallel to the shoreline and the landscape is very "samey". I had to take a bearing and note the landscape because there are not many inlets. The plan was to swim past the first rocky coral and then descend.

No sooner had we descended when we saw a school of seven Picasso triggerfish. We stayed in the general area to gain familiarity and confidence with the exit point. It was an incredible dive. Early on, I spotted a giant moray eel, about 2-3 meters long, wrapped in a coral outcrop. Then, Jeanette swam through a school of black tang, which I managed to capture on video.
