Diver's Notes

Today, we skipped the early dive and opted for a later one after 11 AM. Due to the current running from east to west, I planned a dive in an easterly direction around the outcrops near the pier, forming a box shape to allow us to drift back with the current. Towards the end of the dive, I ascended to verify my bearings - we werespot on but had doubted myself prematurely.

This site is teeming with diverse marine life, with coral outcrops and sandy stretches. We noticed Hossam showing some students something in the distance, and once they cleared, we went over to investigate. We discovered approximately five blue-spotted shield sea slugs with electric blue spots and shield-shaped heads on the sandy bottom, moving quickly but seemingly aimlessly.
