    Vetche's Pier

Hot day. Planned to swim out to top of Vetche's and descend. Swim along for while and set heading for limestone. After a short while realised visability was terrible and decided to swim back to Vetche's. Viz was 1m at stages it was less. Great dive though. Learnt that in low visability and with no boat following, navigation is essential. I saw the sand ripples on the floor and set sail back to shore. However, I was 180* out. Don called me back, we took a heading an reset the course. Always check heading when diving in these conditions!!! All I saw on this dive were a silver fish and Don, and Penny, and sand.

Reef Oasis Dive Club House Reef (Sharm)

Descended again and dived a similar profile o the previous dive. During the dive, I couldn't help but be struck by the serene and tranquil underwater world. The weightlessness and silence below the surface are calming, making every dive a unique form of therapy. We encountered another dive group and turned at the same time as they did to return to the jetty, when we got close to the steps Jeanette and I continued a little way past and then returned to the shot line for a 5m, 3min safety stop.

    Windsock

Have to walk over rock to get deep enough to don fins in swell. Swam to buoy over sandy bottom with a few outcrops of reef. Saw a school of Blue Surgeon. Headed in a Northerly direction along reef. Very slow, very lovely dive. Jeanette was convinced she saw a reef shark, just past the pier at about 30m.
