Diver's Notes

Jellyfish were at the pontoon, and before descending, we spotted a spotted pufferfish peacefully resting on the sandy bottom. This sighting hinted at the incredible sea life awaiting us on this dive.

Our initial plan was to head towards Temple Reef on a heading of 210 degrees, but we encountered a strong current coming from 240 degrees right, veering down to the left at 60 degrees.

Upon reaching Temple, we found several dive boats and a group already in the water. The current swirled around the pinnacles, causing concern about air consumption. I decided to redirect us to shallower reef areas. It was then that Jeanette glanced up and spotted an eagle ray.

To avoid disturbing students near the shoreline, we headed east and stumbled upon a geometric eel— a remarkable find!
