Diver's Notes

Training dive for wreck specialty. Conducted exterior survey of the YO-257. Visibility was not too bad; couldn't see the San Pedro from where we were at.

Currents were almost non-existent here, a very rare event. It allowed us ease of access to all areas of the wreck and even recover some areas. Our penetrations were into the large storage tanks on the size of the wreck. We had an opportunity to go into the superstructure where we found a white tip shark and a huge sea turtle hanging out.

My dive buddy and I worked up a very detailed plan on how to navigate the wreck, but ended up not needing them because the conditions were perfect.

I was expected to be task loaded, so I did not bring my camera. A very horrible move!
