Diver's Notes

Good dive at Electric Beach with DJ and his buddy. Surprisingly exceptional visibility today. We surface swam out a few hundred feet then dropped down. We shot a heading towards the mooring ball (about 295 compass heading).

We got to the first overhang and saw a large white tip reef shark but he wasn't going to come out to play. We looked around and also found a large sea turtle in the same area. After hanging around, we proceeded to the next major feature; a small cavern with a little swim through at the end.

We saw a couple of eels in the area, but no sharks! As we circled back around the ledge, I saw a small white tip reef shark swimming out in the open and I signaled the other divers but not before the shark made its way into the cavern. We tried to cut him off at the other end but he was no where to be found.

Once we reached the mooring ball, there was a lot of fish in the area. They went into a feeding frenzy for the sergeant eggs near by. We swam through a large swim through then signaled to turn around.

DJ found a nice urchin skeleton, so I had to one up him at picked up a live urchin. On the return leg I found a small leaf scorpion fish perched under some coral.

The visibility started going bad towards the end of the dive and the surf had picked up. We surfaced near the entry point.
