Diver's Notes

By far the best dive a Magic Island yet! Conditions were absolutely perfect. No currents, very light surf at the break, but nothing to stir up and ruin visibility. The lack of clouds and full moon helped also. It was like swimming in an aquarium!

Saw a lot of interesting critters from the very start and throughout the dive. Sightings of eels, crabs, lobsters, an interesting "blob" that I need to identify and takos. We even saw a BABY tako!

Tonight also happens to be Brian's first dive as a certified diver. He did very well for his first dive, remained at the bottom for the whole duration; didn't suck his tank empty like most beginners. Also did very well for his first night dive, situational awareness was good, didn't collide with anything and was constantly aware for his tank pressures.

Note to self, adjust weights when switching to a tank of different size. Diving with 100 felt like diving with a brick on my back! Reduce the trim weight!
