Diver's Notes

DMC Dive. Assisted with tying off the boat to the mooring. Took the trailing end of one of the dive groups. We descended down the line because of moderate currents. One of the diver was having difficulty going down the line because of ear equalization issues; the descent would have to be very slow. It took us about 4 minutes to reach our target depth. The individual hasn't dove in some time, so I felt it best to stay 1:1. We checked the buoyancy throughout the dive as he kept on going up and down. We circled the wreck once and started our ascent because to low air. He had approximately 900 psi in his cylinder when we hit the line. His ascent was a bit hurried, so I reminded him to take it nice and slow. Once we hit our target safety stop depth, he accidentally inflated his BCD too much and I had to grab onto him and vent his BCD. We moved over to the hang bar because the line was getting too crowded for my comfort and he needed to be watched a little closer. Once we got to the hang bar, he was struggling to stay down, again, due to too much air in his BCD. We did complete the safety stop. I did notice some epistaxis during the safety stop, but he assured me he was alright.
