Diver's Notes

Long dive on the rebreather. There was an oversight that resulted in emergency decompression procedures for one of the divers. Other divers were using either rebreathers or Nitrox.

The diver incurred a 100 minute decompression obligation that was not fulfilled completely. We simply didn't have enough gas to keep the diver at 20' for that long. Air was donated as much as possible, to include rapid off gassing by placing the diver on 28% and 30% Nitrox and even the rebreather loop pushing 1.3 ata.

We surfaced with 69 minutes of decompression obligation (as factored by the computer for air).

Diver was treated at MDSU-1 hyperbaric chamber.
