Diver's Notes

Rescue Diver Scenario/Test
Full run through - Designed EAP then actioned for missing diver.
Shore dive out to bay, swam with snorkel to boat traffic area then submerged instructing my instructor (assistant) that I was going to set us 10m apart and straddle the width of the boating area and to signal when we reached the last known position for the missing diver so I can begin the search pattern. Set up and started off and got lucky as on second pass spotted missing diver so proceeded to unresponsive diver on bottom, checked for response no response so assisted to surface. From surface, leading to unresponsive at surface drills. Having got the diver to a tow position I was unable to access rescue mask so proceeded without, Only real issue was an additional non traffic line at the surface which the casualties fin was caught on. As a result I had to release the fin and go back to two rescue breaths and then proceeded to sure. Decided to use a drag technique as by this point I was ahead of the instructor/assistant as he was carrying our discarded gear. Having landed on the shore, and calling for assistance and instruction for EMS the water part was completed we then resumed the Rescue on land providing emergency oxygen, recovering diver drill and into recovery followed by completion of notes for EMS handover. Completed and passed.
