Diver's Notes

I, again, brought the go Pro to get video which I turned on for about a minute or two minutes each time. I can’t really leave it on all the time as I have to negotiate the passage down as well as managing the flashlight when we get to depth. I didn’t have any difficulty with my octopus. This time we were able to locate Virgil the turtle and Ben played around with her for a little while before we descended again. There’s not much to do in that dive and so I took the time to work on my buoyancy control and situational awareness. It’s definitely challenging seeing your dive computer in the pitch black dark but I found a way to manage that and it ended up working out well. We didn’t descend all the way to 97 feet as we want to stay a little more shallow on our second dive so I bottomed out at 87 feet. I was having fun just navigating myself around all the boulders and rock formations. There weren’t a lot of other divers so this time we pretty much had the entire spring to ourselves. We only spent about half an hour under water before we did our slow acsent. We climbed out of the water and got dry again over at the pavilion.
