Diver's Notes

Another great mornings diving. Was so interesting to observe the difference between these two submarines. 30 years difference and being depth charged instead of internal malfunction had lead to the UB74 to be a lot more broken up. This has led to a lot more colonised life including lots of lobsters, crabs, congers and blennies.

Very similar dive plan to the Sidon as we moved counter clockwise from midships at sea bed level before up onto the top. Was impressed to see a hatch with valve handle still intact on the wreck. Was a load of rope tied around the handle making it look as though someone has tried to prize the hatch open... which it was by a few centimetres.

Right at the one end of the wreck, buried in the sand was a very pointy end which we can only assume was the actual bow point. Very interesting to compare it to the striking bow of the Sidon the day before.

Had a cracking set of fills for this dive so no worries on breathing rate :-) lots of jelly fish on the ascent again.... and also bumped into Dave and Andrew at 6m too.
